Subham Kundu

Subham Kundu is a highly accomplished table tennis coach and former national champion dedicated to developing athletes from promising young talents into confident, high-performance competitors. With more than fifteen years of competitive experience in India and over seven years of coaching experience in the United States, Subham brings together the discipline of a champion, the knowledge of an experienced competitor, and a genuine passion for developing the next generation of players.

Subham began playing table tennis at the age of six in Kolkata, India, and went on to compete at the highest level in India. His own journey as a player gave him a deep understanding of the technical, physical, tactical and mental demands required to succeed at the highest levels of the sport.

Today, as a USATT Certified National Coach and Senior Coach at ICC Table Tennis Center, Subham has established himself as a respected coach and talent developer. His students have achieved outstanding results at major national and international competitions, including the US Open, the U.S. National Championships, Pan American competitions and other elite events. His coaching achievements include developing national champions, national-team athletes and international-level competitors.

One of Subham’s greatest strengths is his ability to identify potential early and create the right pathway for each athlete. He believes that talent is only the beginning. With the right training environment, discipline, tournament exposure, coaching and consistent guidance, talented young players can transform their potential into the highest level of performance.

His coaching methodology focuses on developing the complete athlete — technical fundamentals, footwork, multiball training, serve and receive, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, match preparation, mental strength, and detailed video and performance analysis. Every training plan is designed around the individual athlete, their current level and their long-term goals.

• 2022 — Mentor, national coaching team, Pan American Championships training camp, Westchester
• 2022–26 — Two athletes selected for USA National Teams (U-17 and U-13)
• 2019–present — Senior Coach, ICC Table Tennis Center, Milpitas, California
• Students won several medals at the US Open (2021 to 2025) and the U.S. National Championships (2023 to 2026)
