On 17 July 2024 the USA Table Tennis Coaching Committee certified Subham Kundu as a National Coach — the credential that authorises a coach to lead athlete development programmes, prepare players for national competition, and serve on USA national coaching staff.

A national tier, not a local one
USA Table Tennis certifies coaches in tiers. National Coach is the senior tier — the level at which a coach is recognised to run a full athlete-development programme rather than individual sessions.
What it authorises
- Leading long-term athlete development programmes and squads
- Preparing athletes for U.S. National Championships and US Open competition
- Serving on national coaching staff at training camps and international events
- Coaching athletes selected for USA National Teams
Already doing the work
Subham had been operating at that level before the certificate arrived. In 2022 he was a mentor on the national coaching team at the Pan American Championships training camp in Westchester, and one of his athletes was selected for a USA National Team in the 2022–23 cycle — Vishal Sivakumar at under-13.
He is also a JOOLA-published author on coaching methodology, writing on multiball training as the foundation of early success in the sport.
